• 4.0 out of 5 stars from Jennifer Maren Bowen -- Entertaining, balanced romantic action adventure story. : This was an entertaining story, with a good balance between action and romance. The pacing didn't feel rushed or too slow, and the relationship between Rafe and Louis was both sweet and hot; it was a wonderful rivals-to-lovers story, with some awesome paranormal overtones. I did wish that a little bit more attention had been given to what happened to the secondary characters after the action had resolved, but the focus on the main characters did help to flesh out the romance more. There are a few typos, such as using the phrase 'sure up' when 'shore up' was intended, but they don't detract from the storytelling. Well worth reading.
